Body of missing man found
The body of an adult male has been found in the Horse Path area of Tortola.
The Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) said in a media release Friday evening that the body is believed to that of the 50-year-old landscaper, Junior Peters who went missing a week ago.
“The investigation into the disappearance of Mr Peters continues,” the RVIPF said.
Police are now appealing to anyone who may have information pertaining to Peters’ disappearance to contact Detective Inspector Vernon Larocque directly on 284-368-9809 or the Major Crime Investigation Team on 284-368- 5682.
Peters, a Jamaican living in the BVI, was last seen in the Horse Path area of Tortola on Saturday, June 27, 2020.
He was engaged in landscaping activities at a private residence.
“His tools/machines and other items were located at the house and a substance believed to be blood also seen,” a police-verified statement circulating on social media read.
His disappearance was described as out of character.

I was hoping that the man was found alive. The clue starts with the house. I hope whoever did this, justice is swift by the earthly judge or heavenly judge. My heart aches for his mother.
This is bothering me, Someone knows something. If only
That tree could talk.
If only you’d stop being a conspiracy theorist.
This is sad indeed.
Persons on social media automatically assuming he was murdered don’t be know-it-alls and wait for the updates.
He could’ve fallen, gotten hurt, and became disoriented trying to get help.
Exactly! It is not unusual for a person with a head injury to get up, walk away, and then die minutes or hours later from bleeding or swelling on the brain.
Yup. Those were my thoughts as well; especially since he was found so close to the work site.
Sorry to hear this… but something is not right with this story….
You mean to tell me if the police had did there job and do proper search that they could’nt have found this guy disappointed by the police department with so many officers. Please do better than this.
My condolence goes out to his family .
The royal Virgin Islands police force is a waste of time. Imagine residents have to find the man in an area the police should have searched thoroughly. This one will be under investigation until half the force reach retirement age. Truly disgusting!!!!
Too much rum
Too much alcohol?
All the Sherlock Holmes will be posting their 2 cents soon
The governor found the man.it was the governor who went down the side of the hill vista, fire and police failed to do a through search.
I really hope this isn’t through. I want to say RIP, but I’m not sure there’s anything peaceful about this. Sending well-wishes to his loved ones and well-wishers

My heartfelt condolences to his family and friends. RIP. Whatever happened to him, I hope he did not suffer before he left.
it would have been easier to find him after all for so long his remains were smelling I guess before the earlier days let just stop jump to conclusions of the police not doing a good job or seemly care
Rest In Peace my brother. Will miss your always positive vibes in life
Was such a pleasant, peaceful and respectful. May his soul rest in peace.
All lives matter….black , white and brindle. Let us be at peace with each other. Respect ourselves, so then we can respect each other. I hope his family and friends the best.
Lots of factors. Could be heat stroke since he’s doing landscaping.
When I go missing, send Mr. Gaspert to look for me not them other’s!!
We have a seriel killer living in our mist.
I really do think his death was caused by Jealousy.
This guy see something he wasn’t suppose to see.
