BREAKING: Dr Kedrick Pickering returns to NDP
Former Deputy Premier, Dr Kedrick Pickering has returned to the National Democratic Party (NDP) fold ahead of the upcoming general elections.
The former Deputy Premier made an appearance alongside former Chairman Myron Walwyn and current Chairman and Health Minister Marlon Penn as one of several candidates that will be contesting the polls during the party’s launch today, March 3.
Dr Pickering will be running as a Territorial At-Large Candidate at the polls.
After weeks of campaigning on his own as an independent candidate, Dr Pickering recently said his next public appearance will be with a team.
During the launch, Penn said the party’s history speaks for itself and he promised to say more in the coming days about additional candidates that will be joining the party’s slate.
General elections are due by May 2023.

Look strategy sah! When you sit and study the numbers of the past election, Myron believes that his atlarge base will out do Alvera in the district. He does not plan to run a dirty campaign but he feels he has the advantage being popular to out for her. Well like her campaign manager boldly said, “If it isn’t broken don’t fix it!” So Myron please go take several seats because there is one waiting for you up Balo.
As for Kedrick, he feels that the NDP at-large base is stronger than PVIM so yes it is a smart move looking at the numbers but PVIM will again split the votes cause you guys to fall short of the strong hold supporting base of VIP.
Now as far as the VIP goes I must say that the weakest link will be Carvin on the atlarge slate but if their supporters stick together they will bring it home.
With that said I see VIP with 6 districts and 2 At-Large coming home to retain the government.
Will all incumbents get an allowance for campaign expenses as usual. People looking forward to their white envelopes!

We cant keep wishing that the people that hurt us will heal us. These guys haven’t learnt anything because they back with the party that gave us BVI Airways and a NHI system that will bankrupt government. Is there opportunities for the youths, how well is our elderly treated. Is there a modern old people home where the elderly can reside and feel dignified . Can the average BVIslander afford to pay there rent, how many can afford to own there own homes after working for 20+ years.

I want to see Achievable goals being set for the first 2, 5, 10 and 15 years ahead. I want to see a concrete plan to develop our Roads a water and sewage, education, healthcare, human resources and Electricity. I want to see a plan to fund these developments by revenues, Loans and grants and foreign direct investment. Please none of you do not come with the attitude that we will try and see what we can do when we get in. Do the leg work from now and come with feasible plans and projections. Then we can talk about voting.
