There are now 14 active COVID-19 cases in the British Virgin Islands.

Of those active cases, eight are on Tortola, five are located in Virgin Gorda, and one is on a vessel.

The resurgence of active cases have come since the territory reopened its borders for tourism on December 1.

Meanwhile, these latest developments bring the total number of COVID-19 cases to be reported in the BVI to 93. Seventy-eight of those patients have recovered and one died.

The public is reminded to comply with all health and safety measures that include hand-washing, wearing of face masks in public spaces, maintaining six feet from others outside of your households, disinfecting frequently touched surfaces, avoid touching your face and limiting large gatherings, especially during the upcoming holiday season.

Persons who are experiencing symptoms related to COVID-19 are encouraged to contact the Medical Hotline at 852-7650 for medical advice and testing. Common symptoms include fever, cough, headache, fatigue, loss of taste or smell, sore throat, muscle aches, or difficulty breathing.

And we will get more as the border stays open. This was inevitable. However the Government as well as the people need to stay vigilant. Especially the Government on terms of containing this thing. Too many people walking out of that honor system Quarantine program they have and they even let the Dominican republic guy waltz right out to go nestle into the Spanish community and possibly spread this thing further. We need to do better than this lest we turn into St Thomas with the rampant cases piling ontop each other.

This is a pandemic – it’s global. All we have to do is try and limit the spread as best as possible.
As long as the borders are open this will happen but we cannot keep locking down. We don’t have the resources to sustain ourself.

It’s 13 active cases in the BVI. There was an error on the sheet and it was redone.

Get your vaccines folks, when it arrives in the BVI!

Don’t mind the shaded noise thats spreading around. Failure to get vaccinated only retards our return to any sense of normalcy!

And if you think you can ride this out, expect a resurgence like the polio, measles and mumps, currently around nationally, due to the unvaccinated over the years!

Don’t get the vaccine. Most countries won’t allow entry without vaccine certificates. The US will be one so if you don’t get the vaccine then no entry to the US. Hurray. Yippie. No Belongers allowed into the US. No more babies dropped for citizenship.

very few want to go through the terror of birthing a child in a red, white and blue racist rat hole.

There are other more decent and welcoming countries to chose from, thank you.

It would be a hurray and yippie day when the original land owners of America get together and deport the evil invaders back to their country.

It will be a glorious, hurray and yippie day when the owners of America’s land round up and deport the invaders and robbers back to their EU lands.

    What hypocrites they are.
