BVI shines in Condé Nast Traveler rankings

The British Virgin Islands has once again secured its place among the world’s premier island getaways, ranking among the top five destinations in Condé Nast Traveler’s prestigious 2025 Readers’ Choice Awards.

The annual awards are based on more than one hundred eighty-two thousand reader submissions from the United Kingdom and the United States.

In the UK edition, the BVI ranked fourth in the Caribbean and Atlantic Islands category, while in the US edition, the territory climbed to second place — a significant jump from tenth position last year and a reflection of its growing global tourism appeal.

Several of the BVI’s luxury resorts also earned individual recognition. Peter Island Resort ranked fourteenth, Moskito Island twenty-second, and Bitter End Yacht Club thirty-fifth in the US list of Best Resorts in the Caribbean and Atlantic. In the UK rankings, Rosewood Little Dix Bay secured seventh place.

Director of Tourism Clive McCoy said the achievement represents strong affirmation from travelers who continue to view the territory as one of the world’s most desirable destinations.

“These accolades are a powerful endorsement from our guests, reaffirming the exceptional experiences we strive to deliver,” McCoy said. “This recognition motivates us to continue enhancing our offerings and maintaining our place among the world’s most elite destinations.”

The latest recognition adds to a growing list of tourism successes for the BVI in 2025. Earlier this year, the territory was named Best Sailing Destination by the Caribbean Journal, and several local resorts received top rankings in Travel + Leisure’s World’s Best Awards.
