PRESS RELEASE – The British Virgin Islands Tourism Board is pleased to share that the BVI will be the exclusive Caribbean destination sponsor for the 2017 Miami Open tennis tournament, held March 20 through April 2.

Long a staple of the tennis calendar for players and fans alike – and often referred to as the ‘Glam Slam’, the Miami Open draws more than 300,000 ticket holders annually.

The BVI is excited for the opportunity to promote the destination in front of this large and diverse crowd during the two-week tournament.

With endless amounts of outdoor adventure and sustainable tourism available in the British Virgin Islands, the territory is the ideal travel destination for Miami Open attendees and viewers, who value unique, one-of-a-kind experiences.

The BVI is home to many famous attractions that include The Baths on Virgin Gorda, the Wreck of the Rhone off the coast of Salt Island, The Caves off the coast of Norman Island, the flamingos on Anegada, White Bay Beach on Jost Van Dyke, and the Sage Mountain on Tortola.
