BVI Staycation launched to coincide with emancipation festivities

The BVI Tourist Board has launched its annual marketing programme, BVI Staycation 2024. But unlike previous years, the 2024 programme is specifically positioned to coincide with the territory’s emancipation festivities.

BVI Staycation is an incentive programme that invites residents of the territory, the BVI diaspora, and select neighbouring destinations (USVI, Puerto Rico, and St Maarten/St Martin) to vacation locally.

BVI Staycation 2024 will be held from June 15 to August 31 under the theme “A Festival Celebration for 2024 Staycation,” occurring simultaneously with the 70th Emancipation Festival, slated for July 14 to August 10.

According to RaeNisia Scatliffe, Regional Marketing Manager for the Tourist Board, “This unique blend of local heritage, vibrant festivities, amazing stays, and adventures offers an unforgettable experience for residents and visitors alike, showcasing the best of the BVI.”

The programme currently boasts 34 participating partners offering a wide range of experiences in five categories: cultural experiences, restaurants, spas, adventures, and car rentals.

The programme was initially created to bring awareness and educate locals about the many aspects of the BVI that they had not yet discovered.

THE CRAZY LOONEY TUNE RASTA WOMAN WITH THE TRIBE OF TEN SON IS OUT HERE ROBBING PEOPLE AND SHE IS TRYING TO COVER IT UP. THE WHOLE ISLAND KNOWS THE BAD SEED BOY BELONGS TO HER.THAT RASTA WOMAN IS AS CRAZY AS THE SUN IS HOT.

    • @HELZ TO THE NO!!!!!!! says:

The crazy Rasta Woman is out here spreading lies and accusing people of calling her son a thief. Woman, your son is a thief and a little gangster and everyone knows it so get use to it. Perhaps if you did not have so many children back to back by so many different men you would have been able to raise them in the right way. Go focus on helping your bi-polar sister that is out here wondering from pillow to post.

June 15 to the end of August is the time of the year where many BVI residents look forward to their holiday AWAY from the BVI NOT in the BVI. The BVITB has this marketing program backwards.

The best time of the year to Staycation in the BVI is from mid November to the end of April. Coincidentally that is the same time of the year that lots of cruisers and charter yachts visit the BVI. Amazing!!

  8. Sorry says:

There is nothing to do in the BVI. My family and I are heading to Hawaii where we rented a home near the beach from the beginning of July till the end of August.

  9. Redstorm says:

Many of the newspapers have but little analysis of what the photos speak about. Image they talked about hotel ,but the photos shows half naked women who decreased their chance of wife material.

Show us rooms and views of the hotel and Villa you spoke about, we might be convinced to stay here. Off to London again.

Thank you so kindly for your comment. They would have been better off showing pictures of hotels, villas, Peter Island, Scrub Island and other resorts, not a bunch of half naked women who will never be considered wife material or women you will never take to meet your parents. I will be heading back to Fiji again this year.Have fun in London sans there is so much to see and do in London.

  10. Sure hope says:

These nasty skanky dress women with their nasty looking behinds hanging out is part of the Emancipation festivities. As a man, that stuff makes me want to throw up. Ladies, you need to show some class and have some type of decency about yourselves. Stop being so skanky and have some respect for yourselves.
