BVI’s COVID-19 death toll climbs to 31! Active cases reduced to 584
The BVI’s COVID-19 death toll has now climbed to 31 persons.
The previous death toll reported last Friday stood at 25 people.
Health Minister Carvin Malone made the disclosure Tuesday evening on the VIP’s Let’s Talk radio programme.
“We don’t want a nation who becomes oblivious or [where] death is so commonplace, that we feel as if it doesn’t matter anymore,” Malone stated.
He said persons should remain mindful of the death toll and not wait until they are too ill to seek medical treatment.
Importantly, the minister said none of the deaths reported had been persons who were vaccinated.
According to Malone, active positive cases have substantially reduced and now stand at 584 persons.
The Health Minister also revealed that there have been some 32 persons discharged from the Dr D Orlando Hospital’s Special Care Unit.
He said there are 24 persons currently hospitalised at the medical facility.
Malone further shared that there are some 16,330 persons in total who have been vaccinated.
Of that number, 11,266 persons are considered fully vaccinated while 5,064 have only received one dose of the AstraZeneca jab thus far.

Monoclonal Antibody Medication can help to prevent deaths in such patients.
Monoclonal antibody treatments have not been approved. Why?
Because they show good results in only a few patients, and ONLY if given before the infection is moderate or severe.
For the majority of patients, it has shown no effect.
If there was a magic bullet to treat this disease, the pharmaceutical companies would be mass producing and advertising the hell out of it even before government regulators approved it, their profits would be immense.
But there isn’t a magic bullet, sorry.
Well, unless you consider a vaccination that protects you from hospitalization and death?
Where shall we send your Nobel Prize? But first you must publish the research that led you to this discovery.
Pharmaceutical industries have been caught shelving or playing down the effectiveness of treatments that are well established, widely available and cheap.
Why? Because there is no money to be made
Case in point – ivermectin dose cost less than a dollar. Being currently used successfully to treat COVID patients. CDC and FDA have not greenest its use yet, rather “they are looking into it”…

This is just terrible. 31 deaths in such a short time span is quite a lot to deal with in our small community. The pain here is deep.
It is my hope that the remaining 24 persons who are hospitalized will recover fully.
Again, I will like to appeal to anyone who remains currently unvaccinated to get vaccinated as soon as possible.
Save your selves from this deadly virus. Don’t wait until it’s too late.
Hon Malone can we please discuss compulsory vaccination for government workers to protect them, their families and the general public? 31 sons and daughters of the BVI have died and we need some drastic measures to prevent mass casualties of our people!

We must accept that the deaths were consensual. Freedom of right to make personal decisions about our health our bodies.The concern should be self reflection about our mental health and self value.
Our community is dominated by a population of persons whose decision it is to die at their own hands. They are morbidly obese and suffer the resulting chronic illnesses of ,diabetes, heart and respiratory illnesses and cancer.
Let us fast forward to positivity and possibilities for those who choose life within a community conscious of our responsibilities to family and community for as long as we are given the gift of life.

@citizen – you hit the nail on the head. Why are we not getting factual and timely information on a regular basis from the official channels. Everyone is so damn happy to be on TV, Radio & Facebook Live they have lost sight of what they are getting paid to do. What is the process for starting a vote of no-confidence in these clowns? The time is right.

Wrong. Active cases that you know about go down.
With the shut down of contact tracing and testing, of course the positive cases have dropped, not because people aren’t infected, but because you are not testing them.
Hospitalizations and death rates are the ones we need to watch to really inform us of the caseload.
Typically, hospitalizations rise 1 to 2 weeks after widespread infection, deaths 2-3 weeks.
So, watch those, as the numbers of hospitalizations and deaths start dropping, then we really know the cases are going down.
Eventually they will go down, as every single person has either been vaccinated or had covid.

Why is this being announced in this way. These statistics should be announced by the Health Service, not a minister as part of a party political broadcast. This information needs to be in the public domain.
