‘Can’t believe Quan gone’ | 22yo identified as August Monday crash victim
Police are now conducting investigations into the vehicular accident that claimed the life of a local student who was studying abroad.
In a media statement on Tuesday, police said: “The male involved in the early-morning accident at Fahie Hill is identified as Raequan Roberts, a 22-year-old BVIslander who lives in the United States but was on summer break from college.”
Following the accident, which happened on Monday, August 5, Roberts was taken to Peebles Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
Police said details surrounding the accident are still unclear.
In the meantime, mourners have taken to social media to express sadness at Roberts’ untimely death.
“I can’t believe ‘Quan gone just like that ??. Life just isn’t fair, mehson,” one social media user said after a tribute photo of Roberts was posted on Instagram.
There has also been an outpour of condolence sentiments from persons on social media.
