Community meetings coming to Ninth District this month
Two community meetings are set for residents of the Ninth District in the month of January.
A government-commissioned media release on Wednesday said the meetings will present residents with the platform to voice all concerns to their District Representative Vincent Wheatley as well as their Territorial At-Large Representatives.
Wheatley said he will be pushing forward plans that are expected to impact his constituents.
“As the government of the Virgin Islands has said before, we are an unconventional Government, but we are a government of inclusion as well, so it is only fitting that I consult with my constituents to discuss the plans for the district so that we can move forward in one accord,” Minister Wheatley said.
“The plans have the potential to affect their lives the most, so it is important to hear their feedback,” he added.
Meetings schedule
The first of the two meetings will be held at the Catholic Community Centre on Virgin Gorda on Thursday, January 23, at 6 pm.
According to the aforementioned release, transportation will be provided for persons in the North Sound community.
The second meeting will be held on Friday, January 24, at the Emile E Dunlop Community Centre on Anegada at 10:30 am.
