Cop dies after falling ill
A police officer has died, the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) confirmed to BVI News Online this morning.
“I can confirm that a female officer was pronounced dead on Friday night (October 6),” said RVIPF Information Officer Diane Drayton.
Police sources have told BVI News Online that the deceased cop is Francia James-Liburd from Fort Hill, Tortola.
A number of persons also have taken to Liburd’s Facebook page to pay tribute to her.
Reports are that the police officer fell ill at her residence on Friday night, and died shortly afterwards. The exact cause of her death is not yet known to BVI News Online.
