Cops nab accused VG gunmen after alleged armed robbery

Not any of the men or the firearm mentioned in the story.

Police have arrested and charged two Virgin Gorda male residents who were allegedly involved in a recent armed robbery at the weekend.

Charged are 44-year-old Richard Creque of North Sound and 42-year-old St Lucia native, Neil St Rose.

Creque is charged with robbery and possession of an illegal firearm with intent to injure while police slapped St Rose with possession of illegal firearm and criminal damage charges.

A media release from the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force said the two men were entering a vehicle outside a bar in Virgin Gorda on Saturday night when a firearm allegedly fell from Creque’s pocket.

It is said a patron subsequently picked up the weapon and placed it in his pocket. However, police said the accused criminals retrieved the gun from the patron after St Rose threatened that he was carrying another firearm.

Police alleged that the gun was thereafter “used to rob the patron of money and his car keys. The patron subsequently ran and a firearm was discharged”.

No one was injured.

Police nabbed the accused men sometime after but the firearm in question is yet to be located.

@No nonsense: The Magistrate willl decide whether the accused men will have cases to answer not you. A statement by the witness is enough to warrant the arrest of the men for the allegation of what are serious criminal offenses.

    Sadly lol is right.

I will not be surprise if the case don’t hold up and they get release. Cause it seems unless it’s death once you shoot after someone and you tell the police who did it. They still will let them go if they can’t find the weapon.

    Sad sad sad bvi
