Cops open follow-up probe into missing 12yo who was later found
The police have opened up an investigation into the disappearance of a 12-year-old who has since been found.
The minor was found shortly after a missing report was issued by the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) on Saturday night announcing that police were seeking the public’s assistance in locating her.
The bulletin noted that Kasadiyah Baird had been reported missing by her family after midday on Saturday. At the time, Police said the little girl was last seen at her grandmother’s home in Cane Garden Bay on the morning of Friday, September 9, 2022.
She was described as being about 5′ 1″ in height with a slim build.
According to the report, Kasadiyah was expected to be home that afternoon but she had not been seen even after subsequent checks in the area and with relatives.
Police subsequently confirmed in a follow-up report that Kasadiyah had been found and is now in a safe place.
The RVIPF said it was grateful for the help of the public in locating the young girl.
While the police did not give details of what they’ll be investigation now that the 12-year-old has been found.

Why is this girl living with her grandmother? Where are her parents? Why are they not doing their job? Too many children being pawned off to family and not being raised by loving parents. Doesn’t matter how good the grandmother is there will still be trauma from your parents dumping you. If you cant give up your life for your child dont have it.
