Counterfeit cash circulating locally, police warns
The following is a media release from the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF).
The Royal Virgin Islands Police Force is urging businesses and banks to be on the lookout for circulating US counterfeit notes in denominations of $20, $50 and $100.
Police have received recent reports and are asking businesses, banks and the general public to do the necessary screening before accepting these denominations.
Persons in receipt of any counterfeit currency are asked to contact any police station or RVIPF Intelligence Unit at 368-9339.

And how is the Belonger supposed to know the difference between real and fake. They hardly know the difference between a $10 and a $100. Oh I know, they will use a pen to see if the paper is real. Biggest way to counterfeit is to wash the ink off a $1 bill and then print it with $100. Good luck dumbasses.

is easily counterfeited so the US Secret Service investigates all counterfeit US paper currency bills. Unfortunately the counterfeiters are more advanced than the USSS so expect more ‘fake’ currency in the future. This problem is exacerbated in foreign countries(BVI!) with the US dollar as the legal currency.
