Decomposed body found near Road Town cemetery
BVI News understands that a decomposed body was found in a building close to the Road Town cemetery sometime last week.
Highly placed sources told our news centre that it was residents that became aware of the body and summoned the police. When the cops arrived, they found the partially decomposed body in the building.
It is understood that the deceased was of a dark complexion and was clad in a pair of pants and a t-shirt.
It is unclear whether the police have ascertained the deceased male’s identity and the cause of his death. It is also unclear whether law enforcers have determined the deceased person’s age and place of residence.
In the meantime, the police have not issued any public statements concerning the decomposed body but BVI News understands that they are still investigating the matter.
It is unclear whether the deceased was a victim of gun violence which has been affecting several persons, particularly males across the territory.
