Detective France was drinking before fatal accident, says COP

Police Commissioner Mark Collins has shed light on the tragic circumstances that led to the untimely death of Detective Sergeant Paul France from the United Kingdom.

Detective France’s lifeless body was discovered on October 6, 2023, in an SUV submerged off the rocky shorefront area near the Dr D Orlando Smith Hospital.

For months, there were no clear answers about what happened on the night Detective France died. However, Collins has now confirmed that France had been drinking before his tragic demise.

This week, Collins confirmed that the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) sent all necessary documentation to the UK after a local Coroner’s Inquiry.

“When you repatriate a body to the UK, the UK wants to make sure it’s that person and that a proper investigation and Coroner’s investigation takes place,” Collins said on the Cut Deep talk show.

He added: “The individual was on prescribed medication, the individual had been drinking that evening, and it’s a tragic accident. It’s definitely an accident.”

Collins confirmed that Detective France’s demise was likely a result of those circumstances. “That case is closed,” Collins stated.

Despite the mysterious circumstances surrounding his death, former Governor John Rankin and Commissioner Collins both indicated at the time that there was no evidence of foul play.

“I have nothing at the moment that suggests that any foul play has taken place. We have trolled CCTV. We have eyewitnesses. We have spoken to the people that he was with immediately before,” Collins said late last year.

As sorry as I am at his passing. Him drinking isnt saying much because we all know what those UK officers do is come on a drinking vacation.

The liquor here is cheap compared to what they are used to!!

They are allowed one of the most powerful, lethal, mind altering substances known to man which results in hang overs during work. None drug tested for alcohol no concern to their alcoholism.

No concern drug users have weapons, yes the alcoholic police is a drug user.

Yet find a local with green grass growing and that’s it, lock em up. Not cool. Police lose massive respect at the double standards.

You think you dealing with a set of moomoo. I for one am so GLAD you’re leaving. Even if you said he was on prescribed medication and was drinking? It have so much ditches and culverts over there. He would have had to hit something before he even got in the water. What yij trying to say he accelerated through the parking lot, up the mound and flew in the water? Not buying one word you say. That’s my two cents and I sticking to it. God see for you!

    Good bye and good riddings!

  7. Hmm nonsense says:

The sea in that area is very far from the road how come his vehicle end up there. does he knows to swim. The police teaches ways to get out of a licked vehicle if it submerged so as an officer I think he would have known what to do if that was the case.

Sorry – there is no way he ended up in the sea at that location because he was drunk! This is a suspect story and there seems to be very evident deception here!

A drunk man on prescription meds could no way navigate a vehicle into the sea from where it was found! NO WAY THAT HAPPENED! LIES, LIES, LIES!

Our politicians deceive and lie, our civil service deceives and lies, our Police flat out lie, the UK deceives and lies, is there any integrity left in anyone associated with the day to day running of our Country! Seems that if you are paid by the taxpayers there is some sort of entitlement that makes you think you are above the law. Yet we taxpayers are the subject of your abuse and bull$hit! My God!!!!!!!!!!

  15. Quiet Warrior says:

Do Detective France allegedly was allegedly impaired, combining alcohol and prescribed medication. What was his BAC ( Blood Alcohol Content)? What was the reaction, if any, of combining alcohol and the prescribed meds? Just saying was drinking that night and he was on prescribe meds and that cause or contributed to his death is not sufficient justification for his death? What were the damage to his vehicle,,if any? What were the damages, if any, before the incident? Did he collide with anything(s)? Was he wearing a seat belt? What injuries did he incur, if any? Were the injuries consistent with losing control (an assumption) of vehicle and ending up in the sea? Who was he with preceding the incident? When was he scheduled to return to work? Did his absent send up any antennas to send out a search party or there was no need to? Case closed ha…

Prescription medication was for diabetes and 1 or 2 pints counts for “drinking”, look at the man you’re taking information off, 55 allegations of corrupt actions, including deleting cctv. Stop jumping to conclusions
