Dexta Daps’ performance postponed, village admission free August 3

Patrons are no longer required to pay an admission fee to enter the festival village on Friday night, August 3.

Making the announcement minutes after 8pm on Friday, the Virgin Islands Festival and Fairs Committee (VIFFC) said admission to enter the village changed because of changes to the night’s scheduled line-up of artistes.

Jamaica dancehall artiste Dexta Daps, who was the featured performer for Friday will no longer be performing.

His performance has been postponed until next week. The VIFFC said the postponement was ‘unavoidable and unforeseen’.

“Dexta Daps” will arrive in the territory on Thursday, August 9, 2018, and will perform in the BVI Cultural Festiville at that time … Those persons who have already purchased tickets for tonight’s (Friday) event will be able to use their tickets for entry into the Festiville on August 9,” the VIFFC said.

“The VIFFC sincerely apologizes for the inconvenience caused and we assure you that we will continuously strive to deliver the highest quality of performances to the Virgin Islands community during the 2018 Emancipation festivities.”

Then they say they gathering info from insurance company which will take another six months. I think they want you to get fed up so they could take the loot and run with it.
