Enumerators needed for 2020 Population & Housing Census
The Central Statistics Office is currently seeking qualified persons to become Census Enumerators for the upcoming 2020 Population & Housing Census which is scheduled for June this year.
A media release from the Statistics Office said selected candidates will be employed in the post for up to seven months, starting from June.
“All applicants must have at least a High School Diploma (or its equivalent) and at least two years working experience,” Director of the Central Statistics Office Raymond Philips said while outlining the qualifications needed for the job.
He said successful candidates will be responsible for collecting data directly from respondents and subsequently will have a direct impact on the quality of data and the information produced.
“Census officers are expected to attend enumerators training workshops, swear or affirm the Oath of Confidentially, receive enumeration material and equipment, locate sample household members/respondents and conduct interviews with respondents, record responses as instructed and other duties outlined in the job description,” the aforementioned release stated.
How to apply
Interested persons will have until March 31 to submit their applications online or in person.
Online applicants can access and complete the form from government’s website bvi.gov.vg, then submit via email at [email protected].
Persons who prefer to deliver a physical application can print the form from government’s webpage, and submit it to the Central Statistics Office located at the East Atrium of the third floor of the Ralph T. O’Neal Administration Building.
