Erickson slapped with multiple gun and drug charges

Nyron Erickson

The man who recently returned to the territory after being extradited earlier this year on drug and money laundering accusations has now been formally charged with more than a dozen counts of gun and drug possession offences.

Detectives of the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) charged Nyron Erickson, 31, of West End, Tortola with seven counts of possession of a prohibited weapon, 11 counts of keeping a firearm without a license, two counts of possession of a controlled drug with intent to supply another, and a single count of possession of the proceeds of criminal conduct.

It was disclosed that Erickson’s arrest and subsequent charges stemmed from inquiries into high-level, organised criminal activities being perpetrated by linked individuals and he remains in police custody pending his appearance at the Magistrate’s Court at the next available sitting.

The RVIPF said it will continue to investigate organised criminal activities within the territory and is dedicated to ensuring the safety and security of the community.

The Force promised to issue further updates on the investigation as they become available.

When you want the status as king pin wear the title well this is what it comes with a target on your back from both sides law enforcement and hitman choose your poison. You watch a lot of movies but for some reason you skip the end, it always ends the same look at el Chapo, dudas, and list goes on the funny thing you sat in prison with E the same man that has your uncle B killed they say keep your enemies close. You had a chance to be honest but you choose the fast way and your parents especially your mom never told you better but she will cry like many mother’s for child you allegedly had killed. The rain falls on just and the unjust time is longer than twine Nyron. Chris prepare your black and white there’s a season for everything under this sun. Nemia enjoy the material things for now.

  11. Sit and think! says:

It’s concerning to see this individual being flown out of our country in such a grand manner and then returning with no charges or repercussions. It raises questions about whether they made a deal or received special treatment to escape the legal consequences. While it’s true that they may have technically “beat the case,” one can’t help but wonder at what cost this victory came and what it means for justice and the fairness of our legal system.

It’s obvious that this individual cooperated with authorities and struck a deal to secure their release, which further complicates the situation. The lack of charges and monitoring upon their return only adds to the worry. In some cases, one might argue that they would be safer in jail, not only for the community but potentially for their own safety as well. The justice system should prioritize the safety of the public while ensuring that those who pose a threat are adequately dealt with and monitored, striking a balance between rehabilitation and the protection of society. Transparency and accountability are crucial in maintaining faith in our judicial processes, and situations like this only undermine that trust.

  23. Don’t ask silly dumb questions says:

Of course it is about the innocent child that was killed riding in the car down West. Everyone knows who was responsible but they choose to keep their mouths shut. Was he the one responsible and call the hit but the hit man hit the wrong person? Everyone that is glorifying this GANGSTER ABOUT HE IS INNOCENT AND CALLING FOR HIS FREEDOM, YOU HAVE CHILDREN/A CHILD. HOW WOULD YOU FEEL IF IT WAS ONE OF YOUR CHILDREN/CHILD? THINK ABOUT THAT!!!!. KEEP HIM UNDER LOCK AND KEY. HE DOES NOT DESERVE TO BE LET OUT ON THE STREETS. SEND HIS BEHIND TO A PRISON IN THE UK.

  24. Warren S. says:

You are probably one who glorifies criminals. It’s people like him why there is so much crime in the BVI. Many more like him who terrorize the country. Pity he is back here. He and them brothers and the likes should be taken way out to sea and …… They are useless and are of no benefit to society.
