External police nab resident with cocaine, marijuana

Armed officers from an external police force patrolling Road Town.

Reports reaching BVI News are that police yesterday held a man who was allegedly carrying quantities of marijuana and cocaine.

Our news centre has been told that the reported drug bust was done by members of an external police force that has been providing support to local police since the hurricanes.

BVI News understands that the officers held the accused man during a stop-and-search routine in the Long Bush area of Tortola last night.

The amount of drugs retrieved is not yet known but the man has been charged.
