First annual Mahi Mayhem fishing tournament coming in May

PRESS RELEASE – Caribbean Sustainable Fisheries (CSF), in partnership with Nanny Cay, is presenting the first annual Mahi Mayhem Fishing Tournament on the weekend May 6 and 7.

A top prize of $5,000 will be awarded to the crew catching the heaviest Mahi over the two-day event.

There are also prizes for Top Angler, Top Female Angler, and Top Junior Angler under 16.

Plus, there’s a prize of $500 for the heaviest overall catch of a Grand Slam – Mahi, Wahoo, Kingfish, Tuna.

“We are delighted to be holding this exciting event, which should be a whole lot of fun as well as raising awareness for the BV fishing community and the sustainability of our precious oceans,” said Giles Cadman, CSF Chairman.

Registration is on Friday (May 50 from 4pm to 7pm, with a cocktail party and reception at Nanny Cay Beach Bar.

The fishing starts on Saturday (May 6) with lines in at 6am and lines out 4pm.

On Sunday lines in will be at 6am, and lines out 3pm.

Final weigh in and the prize-giving ceremony will begin at 4pm on Sunday evening on the beach at Nanny Cay.
