Residents of the First Electoral District have donated a truckload of food items and other supplies to the Family Support Network (FSN).

The donation was spearheaded by First District Representative, Andrew Fahie.

“We take this time to commend Family Support Network – Dr Sylvia Simmons [who is the] Executive Manager; Mrs Wendy Burnett Charles [who is the] Administrative Manager, and all volunteers for the outstanding work they continue to do in our territory supporting families in distress in one form or another,” said Fahie while announcing his district’s donation on social media site, Facebook.

“Let us all continue to support their efforts,” he added.

The FSN is a local non-profit organisation that fights against domestic violence and helps to feed and counsel needy and at-risk residents and families.

The organisation relies heavily on contributions to continue its philanthropic efforts in the British Virgin Islands.
