UPDATE: One of five charged for last week’s guns find

Not any of the exact guns mentioned in the story.

The following is a media release from the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF).

The Royal Virgin Islands Police Force charged one of the five persons taken into custody in relation to the illegal firearms uncovered late last week.

Over the weekend, Stanley Albert Harris, 28, of Great Mountain was charged with one count of possession of a prohibited firearm, one count of unlawful possession of unlicenced firearm and unlawful possession of ammunition.

He was also charged will failing to comply with a request of an officer under the new Computer Misuse and Cyber Crime Act. A series of operations late last week led officers of the Special Investigations and Criminal Investigations teams to the illegal weapons including a semi-automatic assault rifle and several rounds of ammunition.

Five persons, four males and one female, were originally in custody on suspicion of illegal firearm possession. Four were discharged pending further investigation.

Commissioner of Police Mark Collins commended the persistent efforts of his officers as they keep the pressure on those who intend to keep and carry these illegal weapons.

The RVIPF is continuing its effort to remove illegal weapons from the streets. Persons with information on those who have illegal weapons or where an illegal weapon is being hidden or stored are asked to contact the RVIPF Intelligence Unit at 368-9339.

What about those Vincies that have nothing good to say about the people and the country in which they are seeking a better life? You better keep your sarcasm to yourself. How many Tortolians are there in St. Vincent being sarcastic and committing mayhem? When you move to another man’s country for better opportunities or to make a better life for you and your family, you should follow the laws of the land. If you don’t, expect backlash. That’s what the Vincies would do if Tolians go there with their mess. Even America shipping home who make mess in their country. In fact, I am of the opinion that some that were shipped home to some of the various Caribbean countries are right here in the BVI. So, you, please. Go home or hush. I am ashamed when my country men go to another place and break their laws. They should know better. You are a disrespectful person and only in Tortola you do this nonsemse, blogging trash on the place you’re feeding on. Leave. We won’t miss you.

One thing about America, anyone can relocate to their land, but you have to follow the rules of the land. It does not matter where you are from, they will deport you back to your County after you serve your time you are escorted to a plane for the flight back to your Country.
