Flow highlights role telecoms during career expo

PRESS RELEASE: Approximately 50 students of the Leonora Delville Primary School learned more about British Virgin Islands telecommunications industry and the services provided by Flow during the school’s Career Expo held on Thursday, June 28.

Delivered by Marketing and Communications Manager, Nadia James-Harris, educational sessions were held with students in classes Kindergarten through Grade 3.

Mrs Harris explained: “The sessions highlighted our services provided such as mobile, broadband and Flow TV, as well as the importance of telecommunications for communicating with loved ones, conducting research for school projects and for entertainment purposes.”

Some of the students were also given an opportunity to explore the FlowKids app, an interactive learning and entertainment platform for kindergarten and primary school students.

The app can be easily downloaded from Google Play or iTunes once parents have registered with a FlowID. Guidance Counsellor and coordinator for the Career Expo, Keriann Malone noted that the sessions were well received by all of the students who participated.

Community engagement and youth development are two of Flow’s key pillars and the telecommunications provider was pleased to have participated in the Career Expo that exposed students to the variety of career opportunities available in the Territory.
