Former Miss BVI A’yana Phillips crowned Miss World USVI

Miss BVI for 2018 A’yana Keshelle Phillips has been crowned Miss World USVI for 2019/2020.

The beauty was crowned on Sunday during the US territory’s annual Miss World USVI pageant.

In a post on Monday, the official Instagram page for the Miss British Virgin Islands franchise congratulated Phillips on the victory.

“We wish you an amazing reign, A’yana,” the post read.

As the new ambassador for the Miss World USVI franchise, Phillips, who goes by the moniker ‘Lady Mix’, is poised to represent the US territory at the international final of the Miss World pageant to be held at the Excel Arena in London, England on December 14.

She will compete against other beauties from around the world including the BVI’s 2019 contender, Rikkiya Brathwaite.

Phillips is a past student of the Charlotte Amalie High School in St Thomas and studied Business Administration at the H Lavity Stoutt Community College on Tortola.
