Four arrested as cops make second major cocaine seizure on VG in two weeks
Four males are in police custody following the seizure of a large quantity of cocaine on Virgin Gorda at the weekend.
The Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) said the drug bust happened Sunday night, October 27. They did not specify the amount of cocaine found.
In a media release late Monday evening, police the law enforcers said: “During a joint operation between the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force and the United States Virgin Islands authorities, four males were arrested in Virgin Gorda.”
The RVIPF further said, “inquiries are ongoing in this matter”.
The police are now asking persons with information on the matter to come forward. They said all information will be treated with discretion and confidentiality.

Meanwhile, this is the second major drug bust on Virgin Gorda in less than two weeks. It comes after the RVIPF seized a large quantity of cocaine on the sister island during a separate incident.
No reports of any arrest were made in that incident which was a joint operation with Her Majesty’s Customs. It is not clear whether the two incidents are related.
