Full list: Registration stations for vulnerable households
Government has announced that residents can start registering for its Household Assistance Programme which will see vulnerable families receiving post-hurricane help.
Registration stations can be found at the following locations:
Tortola
West End Police Station, Sebastians by the Sea, Carrot Bay Seventh Day Adventist Youth Centre, Cane Garden Bay Methodist Church, Valarie O. Thomas Community Centre, Road Town Seniors building, Fahie Hill Watch House, New Testament Church of God, East End Community Centre, and the Church of God of Prophecy, Hope Hill.
Sister Islands
Registration stations on Virgin Gorda are located at the North Sound Methodist Church and the Virgin Gorda Yacht Harbour.
The Anegada Community Library will be used as a station. The registration station on Jost Van Dyke is located at the JVD Police Customs/Police Station.
Government said officers will be dispatched across the territory to register persons who are unable to visit registration stations.
“The registration process will be led by the Social Development Department in collaboration with the BVI Red Cross, British Red Cross, the Department of International Development (DFID) and Caritas Antilles. The criteria for eligibility includes households who have low to no income, single-parent, women with children ages five years and under, the elderly who are 65 and older and the disabled,” Government said.
