Five families in the Second District who needed an extra push to aid in their recovery efforts after the hurricane were the beneficiaries of a cash donation totaling $5,000 courtesy of local businessman, Clive George.

George, who is the owner of Connect Enterprises Ltd donated $1,000 to each of the five households in the District earlier this week.

Second District Representative Melvin ‘Mitch’ Turnbull has described the offer as generous, noting that the elderly are among the five beneficiaries.

“The people and I are truly grateful to Mr George for his tremendous gesture and it just made it a lot easier in terms of what people have to do with their buildings like putting on their roofs and just getting their properties back to a place where they can be comfortable as we approach this Christmas season,” said Turnbull.

“This is what we have been speaking about where the community looks out for one another, and a young businessman like Clive George and his team, it is just heartwarming to know that there are still persons within the community of the territory that continue to do things for the people,” he added.

Turnbull, in the meantime, took the time out to wish everyone an enjoyable Christmas.
