Glowing references support Fahie before sentencing

Fahie

Some community members from the First District and others have submitted supportive references to a Miami court for convicted former Premier Andrew Fahie ahead of his sentencing today.

Fahie was convicted in Miami earlier this year on conspiracy to import a controlled substance and money laundering after allegedly agreeing to facilitate the safe passage of cocaine through the BVI in exchange for large sums of money. He could face possible life imprisonment if given the maximum penalty.

Over the weekend, Fahie’s attorney, Richard Della Fera, submitted a collection of letters, including heartfelt testimonials from Fahie’s wife and daughters, portraying Fahie as a highly respected man in his community.

Fahie’s wife describes him as a “dedicated loving husband and father” whose life’s goal was “to enrich the lives of those he served.” His daughters echoed this portrayal, illustrating his dual role as a nurturing family man and a benevolent community leader who “uplifted those around him with unwavering integrity and kindness.”

The breadth of support for Fahie is detailed in letters from other community members, including Dr Peache Brewley, who shared a compelling narrative of how Fahie supported her academic and professional pursuits.

“Andrew Alturo Fahie is a fair and honest person and would never intentionally hurt or attempt to mislead anyone,” Dr Brewley recounted. “I can only speak of the individual I know him to be. He demonstrates a genuine love for God, whenever he speaks, he will always use that opportunity to thank God before he makes his presentation and never end without talking about the mercies of God.”

Brewley related a critical juncture where Fahie intervened to assist her with scholarship issues, emphasising his readiness to aid others.

Another poignant letter came from Shakiel Humphrey-Toulson, who credits Fahie with facilitating his successful relocation to the United States, which led to remarkable academic and professional achievements. “His dedication to helping others achieve their dreams is truly inspiring,” Humphrey-Toulson wrote.

Judge Rosalind Toulson also discussed Fahie’s significant contribution to young athletes in the BVI, helping them navigate the complexities of US college admissions. She praised his “unwavering integrity, deep compassion, and tireless advocacy for educational opportunities.”

The testimonials collectively paint a multifaceted picture of Fahie as a supportive political figure and a cornerstone of his community.

they just sent a government minister from a central american country down for 45 years for less…

In the federal system, inmates can earn up to 54 days of good conduct time per year of their sentenced imprisonment. This is often referred to as “good time credit.”

With good behavior, Fahie could potentially serve approximately:

11 years minus about 15% for good behavior, this translates to roughly 9.35 to 9.5 years.

He did good things but got caught up in a bad situation. The judge will determine which one carries more weight. Today I truly feel sorry for him. While we celebrate our freedom, his freedom hangs in the balance.

For every person in the BVI who supports Fahie and thinks he can do no wrong there is 100s who know he is a crook. They are just afraid to say so in public for fear of reprisal in a corrupt BVI Community

All of this is nice. However, it doesn’t change the monstrosity of the potential effects of the acts that he was engaged in. Someone that was truly as king and loving as he is being portrayed to be, would never engage in the acts that he was convicted of.
    Let him do his time!

And he is not the one or lady. There are many, many, many more.

As, the love of and greed for money is more addictive than any alcohol, powder or crack coaine, herion of Meth.

There are thousands of addicts walking around here daily, but they are never stigmatize or scandalized because they are the silent and invisible moral and addict majority.

  13. Oh Please!! says:

The Hon. former Premier’s actions do not jive with those references..

Do they know how much lives, careers, marriages and homes were destroyed by the importation and distribution of drugs throughout the community?

Now they want to continue to destroy the community and livees?

Honestly take away all this crap about gun & coke smuggling and take away the GREED. Take away the USA setting him up on a mission he would not have been involved in had they not approach him…

Separate those bad behaviors and yes he was a good politician. He was in tune with the poorest and the elites. When he got a kick back his mentality was to settle the dust on all the people.

All I see now a days is more Elites pretending like everyone is good for the 70th, real talk people are struggling.

The politicians are good their bread is buttered and that’s as far as they can see with the prejudice blinding them from getting down to the normal people’s level.

We need side walks, we need so much. I cant start to list it now.

Mather said fix one, i agree. He is one politician I trust.

If I were wheelchair bound do you understand how hard it would be to get up on some of these sides walk? And furthermore many areas including the hills dont even have that, not even a little step on the side.

How much is paid to design these things man I give up these people arent going to fix anything so you have to keep pushing & make comfort for yourself on the public spaces like we are fresh out of slavery.

This whole saga doesnt make sense other than targeted baited quasi-entrapment. If Fahie was such a gangster he would have turned them down having his own already or forward the confidential informants to his established crew.

He did none of that and went to see the money himself. He really wasnt built for that lifestyle as the king pins are almost never caught & would not put themselves in such a situation.

By giving these good testimonies about Fahie, we are just demonstrating that we in fact love corruption. Fahie was willing to pimp out the BVI, like is his personal property, with no regards for any of us. I still cant forget the photos from the that murder scene fish bay, in bright day light, and there were other similar incidents since he tookleadership

I do not recall he Fahie making any statements to chastise any killings, yet we have the balls ro speak great things about this son of the soil that was willing to mashup the BVI for his personal gain. Lets suppose that this agent who framed Fahie was a real cartel boss? Then what? I believe that because God knows all, he stepped in and rid the BVI from danger, because only he knows.

  28. @ CORRUPTION says:

you put it gently and what we find really disturbing bis that QUIET CHURCH MOUSE PASTOR , from CGD , had the balls to holler out that we don’t have any corruption here / an 11 year old school child was gunned down , and as we can see why we didn’t hear not even a whisper from him or any one of other two so called ” holy ” men of the cloth ” or those wannabe politicians / but now all of a sudden they formed a choir , singing (FREE TGE DREW ) a lot of people here have blood on their hands , and the great EQUALIZER will balance the scales ⚖ / so you can potray an image of a Saint , you still won’t be able to fool GOD / especially those who nhabme been listening to these hypocrites and still refuse to admit the truth , and expose those with unclean hands that is walking in the streets amongst us , but choose to worship them as if the are angels ( some would call them – birds of the same feather )
