Graduates told to avoid bad labels in the BVI

Minister of Education Myron Walwyn yesterday told graduates at the H Lavity Stoutt Community College (HLSCC) to guard their professional reputations jealously because, once labeled in the British Virgin Islands, they are properly labeled.

“Watch your brand. By this, I mean to be careful what labels you allow to be attached to you. Consider what thoughts come to your mind when you hear names such as LIAT, United Airlines, or dare I say Donald Trump. Also consider the thoughts that come to your mind when I say Louis Vuitton, Apple, or Mercedes Benz. This is the same way that people will think about you when they hear your name called.”

“Guard your professional reputation jealously because, as you know, once you are labeled in these Virgin Islands, you are properly labeled,” Walwyn said.
