Haiti President Jovenel Moïse assassinated!
Haiti’s President Jovenel Moïse has been killed in an attack on his home in the nation’s capital early Wednesday morning.
This is according to the country’s interim prime minister, Claude Joseph.
Joseph said the president’s residence in Port-au-Prince was stormed by unidentified armed men at 1 o’clock.
The First Lady was reportedly also injured in the attack.
The interim prime minister said “all measures had been taken to guarantee to continuance of the state”.
“The country’s security situation is under the control of the National Police of Haiti and the Armed Forces of Haiti,” Joseph said in a statement from his office. “Democracy and the republic will win.”
Meanwhile, the assassinated president, Moïse was 53. He had been in power since February 2017, after his predecessor, Michel Martelly stepped down.
Moïse’s time in office was rocky as he faced accusations of corruption and was challenged by waves of often violent anti-government protests.

Yep. And many caribbean islands are also tired of their government/leaders……
People are fed up of their government’s corruption indeed, however assination of leaders should be condemned highly.
My condolences to his family, friends and colleague as well as the Haitian people. No one benefits from this action. It only creates further turmoil. So sad
So the President of Haiti goes to bed with the Colombians and people are shocked of the outcome? On the positive side there is an opening for Foy. Just remember Fat Albert, when opportunity knocks open the door. If you wait to hear the door close it might be a prison cell door.
