Have a Painkiller with me! Premier invites UK officials to visit BVI
Premier Dr Natalio Wheatley has extended a warm invitation to UK officials to visit the British Virgin Islands.
He extended the invitation during a parliamentary reception put on by the BVI All-Party Parliamentary Group on the first day of the Premier’s official visit to London.
“I do hope many of you will decide to visit us in the near future and have a Painkiller with myself,” Dr Wheatley said in a lighthearted comment while delivering brief remarks at the reception.
“I am certainly serious about you all visiting. I know a number of you have visited already and we’re looking forward to many of you coming down here and enjoying our wonderful sailing waters … and our 60 different islands and cays,” he added.
Among those present at the reception were former Overseas Territories Minister Amanda Milling, as well as All-Party Parliamentary Group Chair, MP James Sunderland.
The All-Party Group is made up of politicians within the UK Parliament and will be a voice for the BVI within the House of Commons and House of Lords.
