Have you seen this escaped detainee?
Local law enforcement are seeking the public’s help to locate a male immigrant who escaped detention on Sunday, July 4.
The escapee is Wilking Sanchez Tejeda of the Dominican Republic.
The Chief Immigration Officer, Ian Penn said Sanchez Tejeda escaped with help from an unknown person.
“This incident occurred at Castle Maria Hotel where the security officer on duty was attacked,” the Immigration Ministry said in a statement Thursday night.
Penn, in the meantime, said the matter was immediately reported to the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) and a full investigation on the specific circumstances of the escape is ongoing.
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Sanchez Tejeda are asked to contact the Immigration Department at 284-468-4717, 284-468-4715 or 284-468-4754.
They can also call the RVIPF hotline at 311.

LOL LOL what a set of genius we have in charge
Why they call him escaped detainee? He ain’t no detainee any more! He just escaped!
You’re right. He’s just an escapee.
Total incompetence again he escaped SIX days ago and only now y’all can post a picture. Jokers.
These Spanish guys need armed guards as they seem to be making a habit of escaping.
He’s not Spanish. He’s from the Dominican Republic. So he’s Dominican and may or may not be Hispanic If he was Spanish he’d be from Spain.
Wait!!!.. whaaattttt??? ???
A few days ago when this case was first reported, the news said the security officer went to the bathroom and the “immigrant” escaped. Now the newspaper said the officer was attacked. Which one is it? People are more willing to help, when they are given the truth the first time.
He was at hotel time for him to leave that not escape and staying at hotel is not how you detain someone so he have all right to go
he is working in anegada
