Hodge appointed Acting PS in Works Ministry, McMaster assigned to RDA

Jeremy Hodge has been appointed to act as Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Communications & Works.

Governor Augustus Jaspert appointed Hodge on the advice of the Public Service Commission.

Hodge, whose appointment took effect on February 4, was chosen to act in the role after Permanent Secretary Anthony McMaster was assigned to the Recovery and Development Agency (RDA). McMaster will remain with the RDA for a few months, BVI News understands.

Meanwhile, in his new acting role, Hodge will serve as an immediate advisor to the Minister of Communication & Works. He will also be tasked to manage the ministry and ensure that his subordinates carry out their responsibilities in line with the government’s policies and procedures.

Hodge joined the government’s payroll in 2004. Over the years, he has held positions such as human resources manager and deputy permanent secretary in the aforesaid ministry, among other roles.

Hodge holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in human resources management and a graduate diploma in management from Manchester University. He also holds an executive diploma in management from McKechnie Institute in the United Kingdom.
