Hodge to lead RDA’s project planning and management

Hodge

The Recovery and Development Agency (RDA) has announced the secondment of Jeremy Hodge as Manager for Project Planning and Management, effective October 1, 2025.

Hodge joins the agency at what officials described as a critical juncture in its mission to deliver sustainable development projects across the Virgin Islands. His secondment reflects the agency’s commitment to strengthening internal capacity, enhancing project outcomes, and building skills within the wider public service.

Hodge’s public service career spans senior leadership positions across government. He served as Human Resources Manager at the Ministry of Finance, Deputy Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Transportation, Works and Utilities, and most recently as Director of the Public Works Department (PWD).

During his tenure at PWD, he oversaw several small road repair and development projects. These included rebuilding sidewalks, addressing undermined roads and collapsed drains, resurfacing unpaved roads, redirecting traffic flow in Road Town, and rebuilding the Parham Town Bridge.

He holds a Graduate Diploma in Management from Manchester University, an Executive Diploma in Management from McKechnie Institute in the United Kingdom, a Bachelor of Arts in Human Resources Management from InterAmerican University in Puerto Rico, and an Associate of Science in Business Administration from H Lavity Stoutt Community College.

In his new role at the RDA, Hodge will help to lead the planning, coordination and delivery of major development projects. He will also engage in procurement processes and ensure projects align with national priorities and stakeholder expectations. Officials said his efforts are expected to support the agency’s strategic objectives and deliver measurable results for the territory.

“We are pleased to welcome Mr Hodge to the RDA team,” said RDA Chief Executive Officer Anthony McMaster. “His extensive experience and proven leadership in the public sector will be invaluable as we continue to build a stronger, smarter, greener, and better Virgin Islands.”

The RDA, established after the 2017 hurricanes, has been responsible for implementing projects under the government’s Recovery to Development Plan. The agency recently confirmed that it will transition into a permanent body, the Virgin Islands Development Agency (VIDA), to oversee long-term infrastructure and development work.

Officials said Hodge’s appointment would contribute positively to this transition and strengthen the government’s ability to deliver projects on time and in line with community needs.

It is alleged to be unhelpful and lacks the ability to get this moving, especially if it will benefit others, just like his cousin, whom he left at PWD. He, too, needs to go from there. They drank the same Kool-Aid.
