Husband arrested after assaulting wife and son
BVI News understands that a husband was recently arrested and charged after he physically assaulted his wife and son in a domestic dispute.
Sources say the couple has not been on good terms for some time now, though they still live together.
It is understood that the man started disciplining his son because the youngster reportedly neglected to do a household chore his father requested. The father reportedly used a household item to beat his son but was stopped by his wife who thought the punishment was too severe.
The husband reportedly pushed his wife into a wall, causing her to hit her head. He allegedly continued to flog his son who later sustained injuries all over his body.
It is understood that the wife also sustained head injuries and cuts on her arms.
Our news centre was not able to ascertain whether the mother and son got medical attention. However, the police were called and the husband was later arrested and charged.
It’s not clear whether he was offered bail and when he will appear in court to answer to charges.

Regardless of what the son did, how could that possibly justify leaving him with injuries or slamming HIS WIFE against a wall.

Too much freedom woman always wanted,and since she is the mother why couldn’t the mother alteast talk to the son since he wouldn’t listen to the father,but no she doesn’t have time for her son on what he does during the day rather walk the streets an lime with the big boys,a story always have two side,if the woman wasn’t happy with the relationship why she still stick around in the house?you must have friends in tola,but I guess she was enjoying the benefits without paying any bills,a man would only lift his hands or get angry in a bitter relationship and has to pay all the bills and come home to an untidy home,the police in tortola are one sided,the news should be more accurate on writing reports,not because you see a car run off the road that mean the driver was bad or drunk,it could be a kid run across the road and the driver avoid killing someone..
Shame on that man! Chances are this is/was not the first time he resorted to violence against his family. I hope that with the charge, he was asked to find other living accommodations. If not, for sure that estranged wife and his son are in for a rough ride. I know, been there.

It seems as though men are only good for finances these days. Most of you were beaten as kids and you turned out fine. These days there are no consequences for kids other than taking away a device which doesn’t help. The man in a home is the structure in the family. When the man neglect his duties in a home, the kids have no respect. Most kids are poisoned by their mom so that they can be the favorite parent. But when things start going south, then is the time to begin looking for help from the father. The men in power are given the women too much power, because they want to lay with these women. The police love these sorts of incidents so that they can get closer to another man’s woman.
Story have two sides, maybe he is an abuser
Don’t spare the rod and spoil the child these kids now a days needs to be disciplined and understand that in a house there is only one man or woman in there and if I say do something have it done without attitude or will feel the rod and for police when you go these homes and hear what has transpired repremand the child for not following orders because one day it might be you the police that this same child might not follow your order so let the parents discipline there children’s once they don’t kill them even though some does need killing, but they still ours.
Too many men are beating their wives. Domestics abuse is rampant and many women suffer silently. They abuse their wives especially after they start cheating with these J….can women. Some are men with high jobs and positions.
Sounds to me you know this abuser, don’t listen to one side of it… you are not living with these people. A story have two side and something’s are not adding up. News articles don’t always grab the correct information.

What makes a healthy home? Why was there conflict for the mother to feel she needed to protect her child from the father? Something’s just not adding up. This man sounds like he’s out of his mind. A man is a protecter for his family, why raise your hands in a woman trying to protect her child.
