IRMA IN PICTURES: FSN homeless
The Family Support Network (FSN) is usually a tower of strength for members of the community who seek food, counselling, and other forms of assistance.
The building that housed the non-governmental organization’s operation in Road Town was among the many virtually destroyed by Hurricane Irma in September.
Shortly before the category 5 hurricane struck, Director of the FSN Dr Sylvia Simmonds appealed for financial help in having the organization relocated to a bigger and better building. But she had no clue FSN would have ended up in a worse position today.
It is hoped that the severe damage to the building will not force the much-needed organization into extinction.
