Jamaican man nabbed on gun and Immigration charges
Police have arrested and charged a Jamaican man on gun and Immigration-related charges, BVI News has been informed.
Our news centre understands that police recovered a firearm and some bullets with the arrest.
The man, whose identity has not been made public, is also accused of illegal entry.
The arrest follows the shooting murder of 38-year-old Long Trench resident Deverson Williams who was killed while travelling through Fish Bay around 3:45 pm on Tuesday.
It is not known whether this arrest is connected to Tuesday’s homicide or any recent criminal incidents.

Why is his identity being withheld. Is it a dead body they found, unless the charges are not true. If these are facts, imo there is no reason to withhold his identity. I could be wrong. Can the legal experts please help me out?
Does surprise me the least anyway, this place is a welcome parlour to the good, bad and ugly.
We are a narco state now.
What to his name and pic
Its called a ‘fishing expedition’
It is generally accepted practice in journalism (and in many cases the law) to only publish a suspects name and or photo, once he has pled before a Judge or magistrate.
It is to protect the good name of the innocent.
In some cases where the investigators and prosecutors feel revealing his identity would hinder the investigation they would withhold it . Especially for narco related investigations and firearms. So likely this person maybe suspected of much more than what he was charged for .
THE FIRST PEOPLE SHOULD BE INVESTIGATE IS INMMIGRATIONS PEOPLE CORRUPTED PEOPLE ALLOWING THIS PEOPLE COMING ILEGAL IN THE TERRITORY THATS FISHING LOL
