Kelvin Hodge appointed BVIPA Chairman
Kelvin Hodge has been appointed as the new Chairman of the BVI Ports Authority.
Announcing in the appointment in the House of Assembly on Thursday, Premier Andrew Fahie said Hodge will serve in the post for three years, effective May 13, 2020.
“He is a business entrepreneur and owner and manager Kelly’s Hardware Store, West End, Tortola. He has served the Public Service for 37 years working with the Department of Information Technology and the Treasury Department, Government of the Virgin Islands,” Premier Fahie said.
Hodge succeeds former Chairman, Nathaniel Isaac.
The Premier, in the meantime, has expressed confidence in Hodge to lead and develop the BVIPA’s “potential for enhanced port services and improvement projects”.

Were there is no vision the people will perish! BVI is sad and gloomy with the poor decisions being made by our Premier.
Where O****** going be at next
Stop put your friends in positions that man a q***k!
Mr. Premier too many resignations under your watch. This reminds me of Donald Trump presidency.
Port again I wonder what’s next under the Port
Another waste of time RS is going to eat his supper
He better stay clear of she.
Hmm.. a few months ago it was said that going to the Premier is like going to them (Board). He personally endorsed each member. It’s important for the Premier to know this was said whether true or false.
It is apparent that the only way to rid ourselves of these misfits is to remove the entire green team next election.
The message being broadcasted at the BVIPA is that “we are in charge, fall in line”. Very sad state of affairs and noone to right the wrongs as they are all in it together.
Let us be real for all of you who knows kelvin , can you imagine him negotiating on behalf of the bvi? Lord give us strength
He soon resign
I was going to blog that …but Glad you did it …not me!!I Not bad mouthing him. He is generally a good man…But from what’s going on and what I know…. I won’t ne surprised if he did..
Port employees are bitter right now to much nonsense going on up there and no one to turn to in getting it fix but time will tell in the next 3 years
The staff them very unhappy
Kelvin is a great man and he will do us well. This position is well deserved. you all critic too much. If you can do better then step up to the post. This is a man of character and integrity. God bless you Mr. Hodge. Majority of us are rooting for you. nevermind the naysayers who have nothing to do but twiddle their idle, jealous fingers on these blogs all day
No one is saying that Kelvin is not a nice person, because he is. I know him personally for all my life, but Kelvin is not the right fit for this job. This is what happens here in the BVI, people afraid to call a spade a spade. He was chosen for this position for all the wrong reasons. Good luck Kelvin.
Always continue to do your very best Mr.Hodge. Be brave.
