Labour Management System to officially launch July 1
The Department of Labour is set to officially launch a new online Labour Management System (LMS) on July 1.
Deputy Labour Commissioner Felina Moss said implementing the LMS means all the department’s service offerings will be moved online.
Among other things, job seekers will be able to review and submit applications online, submit work permit applications online, schedule interviews, record results and correspond with prospective employees on the system.
Deputy Premier and Labour Minister, Lorna Smith said the initial phase of implementing the digital platform for work permit processing occurred in 2021. This LMS promises to reduce permit application turnaround significantly and enhance access for employers and job seekers.
The digitized system already recorded testimonials from employers in its pilot phase, praising its efficiency and convenience.
Smith revealed last year that 60 per cent of the territory’s workforce relies on work permits, so the net result of the LMS will be a faster process. Applications will be processed and approved in a matter of weeks as opposed to the standard two to three months that existed before the system’s launch.

This might start but will crumble just like the cookie in the cookie jar. Good luck with this system.
As with all things I am sure this was poorly planned and funded. The Traffic to the sight alone will cause the system to Lag or not work at all. Lets see how long before this crumbles.
