Law enforcers seize large quantity of cocaine from vessel on VG
Local law enforcers have made what is being suggested to be a major drug bust on the sister island of Virgin Gorda.
The bust was made during a joint operation between the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) and Her Majesty’s Customs last Thursday, October 17.
In a media release on Monday, police said, “a large quantity of cocaine was discovered and seized by the RVIPF” when they searched a vessel shortly after it had arrived on Virgin Gorda.
Law enforcers did not specify the amount of drugs seized nor did they make any arrests “as yet”.
“Inquiries are ongoing in this matter,” the RVIPF said.
They added: “Persons with information relating to this or any other crime are asked to contact the Criminal Investigations Department through the access number 311. Persons can also call the RVIPF Intelligence Unit at 284-368-9339.”
Police have said all information will be “treated with discretion and confidentiality will be assured”.

Who’s boat, sailors, captain?
Never one arrest for cocaine smuggling by these cargo ships.
The only people they arrest is the little boys on speedboats. Obviously not paying the right person for protection.
Meanwhile the big man is laughing on the way to his safe.
Never do these cargo ship bust come with an arrest.
Must be some good money padding someone’s pockets for there to NEVER be a arrest off these cargo ships.
Law enforcers did not specify the amount of drugs seized nor did they make any arrests “as yet”.
Unspecified amount. Top secrete.
IF THE POLICE ARENT GOING TO STEAL IT THEN TELL THE PUBLIC HOW MUCH IT WAS!
Money runs things, bottom line.
How is it possible to carry out a major drug smuggling bust and come out without an arrest or a quantity number?
Is corruption really that rampant on all levels and institutions of this country? It appears just so.
And they never investigate the cruise lines. Look at the Costa Concordia https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/europe/costa-concordia-shipment-of-mob-drugs-was-hidden-aboard-cruise-liner-when-it-hit-rocks-off-italian-10144558.html
