Local talent makes waves in latest Godzilla Kong film
The BVI experienced a proud moment when local talent Sophia Emberson-Bain, the daughter of Dr Dawn Bain, took the film industry by storm with her latest role in the blockbuster hit movie Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire. Now showing in cinemas, this movie has seen fans and critics buzzing with excitement.
Born and raised in the BVI, Sophia has always had a flair for the dramatic and a passion for bringing stories to life. Her journey from the BVI’s picturesque beaches to the movie industry’s glittering lights has been nothing short of inspiring.
With each role, she has been captivating hearts worldwide, proving that dreams can turn into reality with a mix of talent, hard work, and determination.
Her filmography is as diverse as it is impressive. Before taking on the world of giant monsters, Sophia won over audiences in Barrumbi Kids on Netflix, which snagged the Children’s Production of the Year title at the 2023 Australian Screen Producers Awards.
Her range is evident through her work in shows like NBC’s Joe vs Carole, Harrow, Darby and Joan, Aquaman, and Foxtel’s The End. Currently, she’s stealing the spotlight on stage at La Boite Theatre in Brisbane, starring in the play “Closer” by Patrick Marber.
