Main Street grocery store burglarised during curfew

Sunshine Grocery Store located on Main Street on Tortola has been burglarized.

Police said the store was burglarized around 10:20 am on Monday, March 30 during the ongoing territorial curfew.

“Inquiries indicate that the grocery store was secured at the end of day March 27th and was discovered burglarized when opened this morning,” the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) said in a subsequent media release.

The RVIPF is now inviting anyone with information about the incident to contact its three-digit access number at 311 or its Intelligence Unit at 284-368-9339.

This burglary comes a week after gunmen robbed another grocery store in the Nanny Cay/Hannah’s Estate area of Tortola.

Police are investigating both incidents.

Thats cause everybody seem to have a pass and the people who do have them, in a vehicle with others who the pass doesnt apply to. Check the list, the whole of Tola has a pass…ridiculous! Officer need to do more foot patrols and more people checking those back roads…they making moves in those hills. I think it would require some drastic measures to stop people from spreading this virus beyond just the lockdown cause some people just stubborn, stupid and reckless.

There have been far too many Passes handed out to people who should not have them. We know of one Clinic employee who got 5, for her whole family. What kind of nonsense is this?
