Major traffic buildup as fuel tank falls off truck
A massive buildup of traffic on the James Walter Francis Highway occurred Tuesday morning when a fuel tank dislodged from the truck on which it was being transported.
The tank has partially fallen from the truck.
The tank dislodged just as the truck was exiting the roundabout in Port Purcell and heading in the direction of Road Town.
The truck subsequently stopped in the roadway; creating a backup of vehicles coming from multiple directions on Tortola.
Up to press time, workers were on location trying to hoist the tank and fit back on to the truck.
It is not clear how tank came to be dislodged.

These guys drive those trucks like only them on the road with such speed the dump trucks as well. My advice to government is make a road only for heavy equipment vehicles only.
He again?
You wish it was “He” but it wasn’t!
IIf we are not bankrupt why do we have only one fire station for the whole island. This, the fire last week could have been bigger disasters than they were. Thank God the regulations from the US say we have to have a station at the airport for international flights or trust me none would be there.
We need to take festival money and put it towards fixing the nation. Have Sunday Moring Well celebration and 3 days of community work.
How many ambulances do we have?
God is showing us things but the powers that be not listening.
So guess the fire station need a crane now… b&c Lifting yah large
This my opinion. I think heavy equipment such as tankers, lowboys with excavators and such shouldn’t be hauling at that time of the morning when motorists are trying to get to work. I know the trucking community might disagree but
There is a specific time for those types of vehicles, along with rigs, boat trailers etc. We the people of the BVI just don’t adhere to the laws that all
Enforce the no parking areas while you’re at it
As far as I know, they are not supposed to be on the road til after 9:00.
Did u make that LAW STUPPPPSSSSSSSSSSSS
They like to fete more than anything else so they will not use the festival money to do any other business. Have mercy on this land dear Lord
Are there sny ssfety inspections done on these rigs god forbif it decending josr hill.food for taught.
This the problem exactly. No sort of safety checks in place. They just crank up the trucks and go. These trucks need to be stopped by qualified inspectors every so often and put out of commission until faulty items are taken care of.
