Man arrested and charged in connection to Pusser’s burglary

Police have made one arrest in connection to the burglary of Pusser’s Restaurant & Bar on Main Street, Tortola recently.

Charged with Burglary and Breach of Curfew is 50-year-old Howard Hughes of no fixed place of abode.

“He remains in police custody pending his appearance in the Magistrate’s Court,” the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) said in a media release late Tuesday afternoon.

The RVIPF had received a report of the burglary Monday morning, April 13. Police said the popular local establishment was burglarized at approximately 11:45 am on April 12.

Law enforcers further had also said the restaurant was discovered burglarized while an employee was carrying out checks of the building on the morning of the report.

This is the second reported burglary to have occurred on Main Street, Tortola during the ongoing curfew period.

Late last month, BVI News reported that Sunshine Grocery Store was burglarized around 10:20 am on Monday, March 30. No known arrests have been made in connection to that break-in.

Get the crackheads off the roads and into treatment. The crackheads are running the streets while everybody is in their homes. The curfew for these guys is like an all you can eat buffet. This is heaven for these thieves. The smile on their face when they reach the target destination with not a soul in sight would make the devil blush.

How about setting up some mental treatment facilities for people who are challenged. Placing a person like this in jail is not the answer. My guess the man needed food. You all need to stop sitting on your high horse and help the challenged out. Maybe if you did the right thing it would bring you all some good karma instead of the bad karma you constantly seek
