Man charged with burglary after alleged forensic report
BVI News understands that a man who is already in custody was recently slapped with additional charges after his fingerprints matched those found at the scene of a burglary.
It’s reported that a couple contacted the police after they returned home to find that their house was ransacked. Upon further checks, they realized that they were missing cash and a few electronic items.
When the police were contacted, they reportedly tried to search the area for CCTV cameras that could give more evidence, but were unsuccessful. Further investigations then led the cops to question a man who was in custody for matters related to another incident.
Once a forensic report was done, it was determined that his fingerprints matched those found at the home that was burglarised. It’s unclear whether others were involved in the crime.
