Man injured in New Year’s Eve shooting in Long Trench

The Dr D Orlando Smith Hospital in Road Town

Police have confirmed that a man is now in stable condition after being shot and injured in the vicinity of Long Trench on Tortola sometime during the night of December 31.

According to the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force, the unnamed man checked himself into the Dr D Orlando Smith Hospital for treatment after being wounded in a shooting incident.

Police said details of the shooting remain unclear at this time.
