Two men are facing criminal and traffic-related charges following their reported involvement in a police chase on the main island of Tortola on Saturday, May 9.

Charged are 34-year-old Little Dix Hill resident, Shannon John and 24-year-old Greenland resident, Mackebo Fahie.

Both are jointly charged with Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Drug, the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) said in a media release on Monday.

“John was also further charged with Travelling Backwards With a Motor Vehicle More Than Requisite, Reckless & Negligent Act, Failure To Stop At The Sound of A Siren, Driving an Unlicensed Vehicle, and Driving an Uninsured Vehicle,” the RVIPF added.

Both men are in custody pending an appearance in the Magistrate’s Court.

Police, in the meantime, said they led officers on a “road chase” throughout the East End community on the day in question.

Sick and tired of the two of them. Do they have no intention of having an honest job? Sit at that bar all day … and the owner knows what is going on. She need to be deported out of this country and they need to be ——— up for a long long time.
