Maynards to appear for plea change today
Kadeem Stephan Maynard aka Blacka and his mother, Oleanvine Pickering Maynard, are both expected to appear before a Florida judge today, June 12 to change their pleas to guilty in a drug trafficking and money laundering case.
Former Premier Andrew Fahie remains the only one of three defendants still fighting the charges and is expected to face trial next month.
The Maynards and 52-year-old Fahie face one count each of conspiracy to import a controlled substance, conspiracy to engage in money laundering, and attempted money laundering, with Oleanvine Maynard and Fahie each facing an additional count of “interstate and foreign travel in aid of racketeering”.
The trio was nabbed following a months-long United States (US) Drug Enforcement Administration-led sting operation and were later criminally charged and indicted for the alleged offences according to an affidavit from a DEA agent in support of the criminal complaint against the trio.
The undercover operation began in October 2021 when “a DEA confidential source” held meetings in the BVI with “a group of self-proclaimed Lebanese operatives” whose assistance he sought “to facilitate the use of Tortola as a temporary storage port for drugs (cocaine) transported from Colombia via boat, and destined for the United States”.
According to court records, Pickering Maynard will have her change of plea hearing held before the court at 11 am today while her son Kadeem will appear at 2 pm. Both will appear in a Miami Division court before Judge Kathleen Williams.
There has been no indication in the court records as to which count(s) the Maynards intend to plead guilty.
Furthermore, it is likely that any plea agreement entered into by the Maynards will require them to co-operate with the prosecution of Fahie, whose jury trial is scheduled to begin on July 18th.
The Maynards have been in custody since being arrested 13 months ago, while Fahie is out on $1 million bail.
Notices for a change of plea hearing for the Maynards appeared within days of each other, however, the two are not represented by the same attorneys or law firm.
Kadeem is represented by Jose Rodriguez while his mother, Oleanvine, is represented by Raymond Houlihan, III from the Federal Public Defender’s Office. Fahie is represented by attorney Theresa Van Vliet.

I read a comment which stated that the Maynard’s changed plea in exchange for perhaps a lighter sentence and testimony against Head Coach suggests the case against Head Coach was weak.
IMO, it’s quite the opposite. If the case was weak, you can be rest assured that the defendants attorney would not have agreed to have them change their plea to guilty.
It is more likely than not that the case and evidence shared with the defendants pointed to a strong case, and the conclusion made was that the risk of conviction with it’s associated severe penalty was too high to go to trial.
This development as stated before places Head Coach in a very difficult position. He either changes his plea as well, or else face the possibility of a conviction and decades in prison with the help of the Maynard’s.
If the other guy doesn’t do the same he might get football numbers. The way he’s moving though I guarantee he’s been cooperating lonnnnng before these 2. Def wanna see how this plays out.
are now prosecution witnesses. So much for loyalty among drug smugglers.
Characters: [three stooges]….made bed lay in it. fahie going down a slippery slope with those two co-operating against him and they the culprits that brought the “deal” and now making plea deals to get back to the vi in couple years. Checkmate
Head couch is finished
my people pray for me
You are wicked, did you ever read the Comments and then using the word perhaps. You did not read any comments
Hope they show her Mercy..Here is the question. How can 3 people being accused of involving in something and two say yes It happen we did it and we are guilty? ..Now the one that is saying, it never happened and he wasn’t involved. How do you balance that.
Head coach will plea guilty, He want to play gangster and say he ain no Rat. Boss bigger, badder and richer than you take deals to save themselves. You should have taken the deal from the start..Now the prosecution will seek the maximum..

Ever since he got caught up he ain’t been right. Shouldn’t turn your back on the small man.
Look a good example of how America ‘.claims’ to fights drugs, when they’re the ones pushing it. Maynard’s and Fabie never sold drugs, so they’re not responsible for the drugs now, but they were used, now the u.s. can say ‘look how we fight drugs, well arrest those responsible for all the drugs you have now, oops, can’t arrest yourself.
I reckon Nyron is involved somehow and they just informed on him. The US already had info about Andrew. The two West boys are in deep do.
