Mendacity! Walwyn accused of lying about CSC’s contract

Skelton Cline

Claude Skelton Cline has accused Opposition Leader Myron Walwyn of being untruthful about his support for the renewal of Skelton Cline’s contract as Managing Director of the BVI Ports Authority.

Skelton Cline said on his Honestly Speaking radio programme that he was shocked when Walwyn suggested the relationship among National Democratic Party (NDP) members had fractured because Walwyn did not support the renewal of his contract in Cabinet.

“When I heard that I said to myself what mendacity. What mendacity. I said the leader of the opposition either is lying now or he’s been lying for the last 10 years,” Skelton Cline stated.

Skelton Cline recounted a meeting with Walwyn at Miami International Airport during the period when the contract was under discussion. He said Walwyn praised his work and promised to support him.

“He said listen, I’m on my way back into the country, when I come back I want a copy of the act for the BVI Ports Authority because I am going to do everything in my power to make Claude Skelton Cline permanent in this post. The kind of job he’s doing over there, man, he needs to go up to the airport,” Cline explained.

Skelton Cline insisted that he had witnesses who supported his claim and said Walwyn even spoke directly with the Ports Authority’s general counsel at the time, pledging to back the renewal.

“So either he was really fighting for me then in support of my contract, or he was lying to me. Or he finally told the truth a few nights ago,” he added.

The contract dispute dates back to 2015, when Skelton Cline’s three-year term ended and Cabinet declined to renew his contract. Skelton Cline later challenged the decision in court, arguing that he had a legitimate expectation of renewal.

The case was dismissed in 2019.

Questions over the contract resurfaced during the 2021 Commission of Inquiry, which highlighted delays and irregularities in the formal signing of contracts for senior posts. On his programme, Skelton Cline insisted he wanted no further public quarrel with Walwyn.

“Let this be the last time you and I go back and forth because the truth of the matter is, though things need to be properly represented, it is really not useful overall for the good of the country,” he said.

Walwyn said on Cindy show that he didn’t support Claude’s renewal. That’s what I heard him say and I believe him. The NDP cabinet did not renew his contract that’s why he took them to court. His uncle Ronnie and Dr. Pickering voted yes and Myron, Mark and Doc voted vote no. That’s how it was not renewed. CSC was pissed and turned on the NDP and went to support Andrew.

CSC can’t be telling the truth. His uncle is in the cabinet. Surely he would tell his nephew who all supported him or don’t support him.

CSC got several contracts including the neighborhood project, a job program contract and at least two other contracts from Andrew where money was collected and no work was done. He has already shown me who he is. If you could take money and do no work you could do anything. I don’t believe a word that comes from that man’s mouth. And he is a pastor! The world is really a mess

Well let me understand this :

Walwyn said that he did not support CSC contract renewal. That’s all I heard him say.

Csc then went on a rampage frothing at the mouth about all sort of other things. Something tells me that Walwyn could have said a lot more but you could tell he was being controlled when speaking to cut deep show host Cindy.

Csc contract was not renewed by cabinet which means the majority of cabinet did not approve it. Nothing is private in the BVI and CSC’s uncle was in cabinet so he would tell his nephew who did not support him

CSC had to have known who did not support him the very same day that the cabinet meeting was held.

CSC took the cabinet to court for not renewing his contract which must mean that he knew all who did or did not support him in cabinet.

CSC went on a rampage against the NDP in the 2019 general elections. This had to have been fueled by him not getting his contract renewed. This is how these people are. It is all about self. He must have wanted revenge on NDP and he rekindled his “neighbourhood project” relationship with his sidekick in dealings and got fake contracts where he got paid to do nothing as his reward for helping VIP win. We all saw what a disaster that turned out to be.

So why is this so called pastor acting like he didn’t know that Walwyn did not support him. He must have known. These pastors make God’s job real hard mehson

Sometimes you give an individual not qualified a chance at a high post. Then it gets to their head and that individual become more obnoxious. You simply no longer like the individual on an employment level it was nothing personal.
