Money in budget for 2015 increments
Director of Human Resources Michelle Donovan-Stevens said funds have been allocated in the 2017 budget to pay performance increments for the year 2015.
She made the disclosure while responding to questions posed in a recent meeting of the Standing Finance Committee of the House of Assembly.
Donovan-Stevens noted that performance increments are not automatically paid to civil servants.
She said it is based on performance.
According to her, officers would become eligible for increments based on successful completion of the performance appraisal process, and meeting the performance objectives that had been set between employees and their line manager.
Donovan-Stevens further explained that, upon completing the assessment and submitting the documentation to the Department of Human Resources, once there has been approval to pay increments in the applicable year, the increments should be paid out.
